It was one of my son's favorites when he was a Danny and the dinosaur, so Danny and the dinosaur picked up an extra copy to give away. Born and raised in New York City, he studied at the National Academy of Design. When he sees one at the museum and says, "It would be nice to play with a dinosaur," a voice answers, "And I think it would be nice to play with you.
I was delighted to see them reissued as "I Can Read! I looked at the Level 1, Beginning Reading, books and happened upon these two oldie but goodie books from Syd Hoff. It reads just as if you're telling a bedtime story. Both books feature kind and friendly kids, helpful adults, cheerful adventures and no drama. It is a simple story with very simple illustrations, but still fun. "Danny and the Dinosaur" first came out in 1958, and was followed a year later by "Sammy the Seal".
Animation camera, Wolf Ferro ; editing, Jan Mack ; voices, Ruis Woertendyke, Peter Prinstein ; music, Carl Schurtz Based on the book of the same title by Syd Hoff When he visits the museum, Danny thinks it would be nice to play with a dinosaur and the dinosaur is just as eager to play with him.
My fault because he would not like baby books for sure. Originally published over 50 years ago, this beloved classic is a Level 1 I Can Read that is perfect for the beginning reader learning to sound out words and sentences. They spend the day together doing many different things, and then the dinosaur goes back home to the museum that night.
My 4 year old son was losing interest in books. This is an old story, and I think it's aged just fine. It's the most fun this dinosaur has had in a hundred million years! But Danny can teach an old dinosaur new tricks.
He got level 1 book as his Christmas gift and he wanted us to read that book again and again. Born and raised in New York City, he studied at the National Academy of Design. This is his first "story" book. His work also appeared in many other magazines, including Esquire and the Saturday Evening Post, and in a nationally syndicated daily feature. Otro libro cortito pero indispensable para mis futuros hijos! What would you like to know about this product? We're big fans of the "I Can Read! This is an old story, and I think it's aged just fine.
