Marki have devised a new kind of Magic-T circuit composed of a balun and two parallel coupled transmission lines which has already exceeded octave bandwidth performance using suspended substrate, broadside coupled lines—the balun tends to be the bandwidth limiting element of this coupler.

Information about registration may be found. se Abstract We analyze transmission characteristics of two coupled identical cavities, of either standing-wave SW or traveling-wave TW type, based on temporal coupled mode theory. The coupling of the mechanical subsystems enables formation of a resonant mechanical supermode that provides a mechanically mediated, efficient single interface to both the microwave and optical domains.

This is however not within the scope of our study. Once Q c decreases further, splitting takes place in the transmission and the dispersion at resonances shifts from normal to anomalous. The transmission, phase shift and group delay for different Q c for S3 a-cS4 d-f and S5 g-i.

The rat race and magic tee couplers are generally narrowband and unlike coupled-line couplers or branchline couplers cannot add extra sections or more magic tees to increase the coupling bandwidth.

75-mm YIG-cavity hybrid system as a function of the microwave frequency and the static magnetic field. We can also treat the whole system as a Fabry-Perot etalon. Among our findings, it is interesting to notice that a side-coupled SW cavity system can perform the same functions as an under-coupled TW cavity system.
