1821 - circa 2012 Creator• Seth-Smith himself commissioned 17 of the plates whereas one, a photomechanicallly reproduced, unattributed plate of the Ornate Lory, is taken from Avicultural Magazine, and two others appeared in that magazine prior to the publication of this work although the cost of their production was shared by Seth-Smith who, I believe, was also an editor of the magazine.
