Bricks pacing suits the supercharged tension of Eislers convoluted double and triple crosses, making every incredible situation credible, every sadistic goon and megalomaniac plausible, and every love scene hot enough to melt your CDs.

From Who says a cold-blooded contract killer cant have a superego and complex feelings? Rain is fighting with himself throughout as those who care about him are making him care about them and the walls he has built are crumbling around him, making him less numb, less of the killer he doesn't want to be, but needs to be to stay alive.

For me a great read and a great story line. But how does Rain know Hilger won't kill Dox, anyway, once the assignment is complete? Russell Blake Requiem for an Assassin back El Rey in a good story that has plenty of action and all the twists and turns we have come to expect from this author. Unfortunately, not everyone shared his view of things, plus his solution was like chemotherapy to some patients - made them sicker than the disease.

But things are never as they seem in the murky world of intrigue, and he quickly goes from being the hunter to the prey. If you thought Assassin's Creed lacked variety, you'll find plenty in the sequel.
